Tetra recommends the use of Tetra Pond AquaSafe when setting up a new ornamental pond, with every partial water change, after prolonged rainfall and after disease treatment. However, tap water, that is primarily added in those cases, can contain high concentrations of heavy metals (copper, zinc and lead) and chlorine compounds, which can be harmful to fish, plants and microorganisms. Tetra Pond AquaSafe neutralises these substances - even if they have gotten into the pond due to rain water - and makes the environment safe for fish. The vital ingredient iodine promotes the well-being of fish and increases their readiness to spawn. Tetra Pond AquaSafe is optimally tailored to the care needs of the pond inhabitants and protects their mucous membranes and gills. To achieve the best possible result, shake Tetra Pond AquaSafe well before use and follow the detailed instructions. Thanks to the included dosing cap, Tetra Pond AquaSafe can be dosed very easily. Use the dosing cap and add 50 ml per 1.000 l of pond water. First dilute Tetra Pond AquaSafe in a container and then spread the mixture over the entire water surface. You can add the necessary quantity to the water before or after the pond is replenished in total. Tetra recommends a regular dosing every two to three weeks with half the amount after a full application. Tetra Pond AquaSafe cannot be overdosed. To maintain durability, store the product away from heat or direct sunlight. Do not use in combination with treatments other than those manufactured by Tetra.
