Hurtta from the Wild North

We are from Finland, "The wild North", a place known for its pure and exotic nature and unrelenting winters. Originally, we were clothing industry professionals, and we were determined to make functional producs for our own dogs while also developing a range of functional dog gear globally.

 

We're no strangers to the parks, trails and training fields that dogs and their owners frequent every day. Our expertise stems from our extensive apparel, industry and design experience, and from the bonds we have forged with other caring dog owners, dog trainers and dog sport professionals around the world.

 

 

Our Greatest Adventure Yet

 

We've been on the path to sustainability for a while now. We have a lot to be proud of, but in some ways, we're just getting started.

 

1. For the dogs: Dogs inspire so much good in us. Our dogs would do anything for us and we believe that we should return the favour.

 

2. For the elements: In the Nordics we live in some of the harshest elements known to man. Our weatherproof apparel and gear is built to stand up to a variety of weather conditions.

 

3. For the planet: We like to say, happy planet, happy dogs. We think sustainability and we make high-quality, well-crafted, sustainable weatherproof dog apparel and gear that are built to last.

 

 

Becoming a fully sustainable brand by 2030

 

At Hurtta, we understand nature's carrying capacity is limited and we want to be mindful of and take responsibility for the effects that our products have on the environment. We are both dog people and nature people, and we love that outdoor activities and shared nature experiences connect us and our dogs in a meaningful way every day. Understanding and caring for our dogs, appreciating and protecting the environment, and learning to consume responsibly guides our brand development.
