Product Recall: King British White Spot Control 100ml & Original Formula WS3 50ml and 250ml

Please see the recall notice from Beaphar regarding King British British Medicines.

Dear Customer,

I am writing to inform you that we have identified a potential quality issue, affecting the King British Medicines listed below. As a result we need to execute a product recall for the specific batches in question. These batches have been found to have levels of Malachite Green which are out of specification and may affect efficacy.

17906 King British White Spot Control 100ml (Pedigree code 751421)

  • Batch 300507001, expiry date 10/2025
  • Batch 300338601, expiry date 06/2025

17898 King British Original Formula WS 3 50ml (Pedigree code 51432)

  • Batch 300336001, expiry date 06/2025
  • Batch 300491501, expiry date 09/2025
  • Batch 414439, expiry date 02/2024

17901 King British Original Formula WS 3 250ml (Pedigree code 6320)

  • Batch 414440, expiry date 05/2024

Please note these issues only concern the specific batches detailed above. The Veterinary Medicine Directorate (VMD) has been notified and consequently we have initiated a Class II recall at retailer and wholesaler level. This does not extend to end users who may have previously purchased the product.

Batch numbers for White Spot Control 100ml and Original Formula WS3 50ml are printed on the caps and underside of the box. Original Formula WS3 250ml, the batch number is printed on the cap and label. 

I sincerely apologise for any disruption this necessary action may cause. Safety, Quality and Efficacy remain at the heart of everything we do.


Please examine all inventory, remove any products with these batch numbers from sale with immediate effect, quarantine and contact us by email to customerservices@petproducts.co.uk.
