Important Update Regarding Deliveries
Today we announce that, subject to fuel prices remaining at current levels, Pedigree Wholesale intends to introduce a fuel surcharge on deliveries from 26 October 2026.
This is not a decision we have taken lightly.
Over an extended period, we have absorbed substantial increases in fuel and transport costs whilst continuing to provide the delivery service our customers expect. Whilst we have done everything possible to avoid introducing additional charges, the current level of cost increases means this is no longer sustainable.
Rather than increase product prices across the range, we believe a separate fuel surcharge is a fairer and more transparent approach.
Importantly, this is not a profit-generating measure. It is intended to recover a proportion of the exceptional transport cost increases we continue to experience whilst maintaining the service levels you expect from Pedigree Wholesale.
How the Surcharge Works

Thereafter, the surcharge will increase by 0.15% for every additional 10 pence increase in average fuel prices.
Fuel costs will be measured using published UK Government weekly road fuel price data and reviewed periodically. The current and future surcharge rates will be available on our website.
Based on current fuel prices, a fuel surcharge is expected to apply from 26 October 2026. However, should fuel prices reduce sufficiently before implementation, we will review the position and may amend or withdraw the surcharge before launch.
The surcharge will appear as a separate line on your invoice, providing complete transparency.
Whilst we recognise that no customer welcomes additional charges, this approach allows us to continue providing the service, availability and delivery reliability that our customers value whilst avoiding wider increases in product pricing wherever possible.
